Hot Brands Cool Places
TFC was the April Book of the month for the British online magazine: Hot Brands Cool Places: the ultimate online luxury magazine.
Closer
CLOSER, which is the UK 's biggest selling weekly magazine, gave TFC four stars and said:
'Author Arabella runs a creative writing class in New York, but life isn't going to plan. She's 36, twice engaged, but still single, and most of her pupils are hopeless. Fearing her life will never be as good as a juicy novel, will Arabella ever find love? If you like reading—or fancy yourself as a writer—you'll enjoy this.'
In Town Magazine (May 2008)
In the May 2008 issue of In Town magazine (p. 21) The Fiction Class is named as the #1 thing on the list of “What Mom Really Wants for Mother’s Day.” This is what they say: “Get Mom ready for her summer reading with The Fiction Class, a novel by Irvington resident Susan Breen. The novel deals with strained mother/daughter relationships and makes for a lively read.”
The Writer (June 2008)
The June issue of The Writer has an article by me about titled: “Tips on turning a real person into a fictional character.”
And this is what it says in the table of contents: “Basing a story on people you really know can be surprisingly tricky. What helps, our writer found, is to get some distance from these familiar people and “jazz’em up.”
